Why can we watch some TV shows on a PC but not a tablet?

On certain websites I get a comment that says "protected content" when using my tablet; however, can watch the same thing on my PC with no problem.
Any advice?

Hanen't seen the "protected content" message but I have seen "not optimised for mobile devices" and the video is really "jerky".
