why does my browser just randomly close?

its getting more frequent, doesnt seem to mattter how many tabs are open. I click on a part of a page and boom I'm on the desktop. reopen the browser and back on the home page all tabs lost. The tablet has all updates and using default browser.

Sounds like the browser is crashing though not sure why. I recommend using a different browser not only because of the issue but because there are better options than the default. Try a search for browsers in the forum since there are a couple of threads with extensive choices and reasons for them.

Aside from that I would try and go into Settings>Apps find the browser and clear the cache and data. That may help restore it.

There is another possibility. Many browser crash reports have been tied to the tablet having problems communicating well with the WiFi, no matter how strong the signal appears. The best way to test that is to see if you get the same results at a public hotspot.
