Wifi won't stay connected! Airplane icon won't go!

I can't find a thread re my problem. Ive got a 2.3.5 tablet and the wifi won't stay connected. I've turned the airplane mode off yet the icon still appears at the top of the screen. I've reset the tablet about 50 times and I just can't get the wifi to stay connected. My iPod, iPhone, tv and home pc are all connected to wifi so it's the tablet. Can anyone help me please. I'm ready to return it!

I had an Archos 101 that wouldnt stay connected to my BT home hub, even after getting home hub 3. sent it back as it was frustrating, check if it is your wifi before returning tablet.... perhaps change channel? this worked for a little while for me.
