Hi new here I have an Asus eeePad HC3.2 and will/can it be upgradeable to IC/Jellybean OS? Better yet will any HC tab be upgradeable?

Sadly I don't think anyone will be able to answer this question until IC is released. It is going to depend on the manufactures testing it out and deciding if they want to support older models. I know that Toshiba had said it's upcoming Excite will be getting IC as well as a couple others but most of them (including the Excite) has a slightly higher rent processor than the current gen Tegra's. Does that matter? Guess that all depends on IC and what it needs.

I know it doesn't help really but that is what's up right now.

I sure hope the phones and Tabs could get a unified OS.. OTA updates would be simpler.. and Android could focus on making one better instead of two.

Well, apparently the tablet maker Notion Ink Adam confirmed it as coming in October, so...;)

Also, I don't really see the point of Ice Cream Sandwich if you couldn't even upgrade to it from the latest version of their OS - 3.2 and 2.3. If you unified the devices without unifying the devices...that's just counter productive (and, again, doesn't make sense). I personally think its a certainty for the majority of...major...tablets and Gingerbread smartphones.

Sure, only providing it to devices with new hardware could work, but it would make a lot of Honeycomb owners quite angry (not to mention Gingerbread owners) and just wouldn't make business sense (it could spur the purchase of new devices, but it could also turn off a fairly perceptible portion of the userbase).

I have a Transformer on 3.2 as well, and it would definitely frustrate me if it didn't update to ICS (although I'll likely purchase the Transformer 2 anyway :D).

good points, it's too early to tell but hopefully an upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich will be an option for most people. Also, what's this Transformer 2 you speak of? First I've heard of it, have their been rumors? I just got the Transformer myself, got the Fed-Ex tracking number today and it should arrive before the week is out. I hope I can at least be hip for a little while before version 2 is out lol, or if I can at least upgrade to IC when the time comes (perhaps October like you say) I will still be happy :)

Rumors have been kicking around for a while - it HAS been confirmed as in-development, so it is coming; but no release date yet. Most estimates pin it for October-November timeframe (so I'll be selling mine soon ;)).

wow, I had no idea, if I would have known this I might have waited, ah well I'm sure the novelty will last for me (I hope at least) since after all it will still be my first Android tablet.

Iwouldn't worry too much - it still is a great tablet. Did you buy thedock? If you didn't, it is definitely a worthy purchase. The batterylife boost alone is extremely useful.
I'mjust wondering if the Transformer 2 dock (I'm betting it'll have onetoo - if you're continuing the product line, it needs the dock) willbe compatible with the original. If it is and you haven't bought thedock, then the TF2 dock would probably be an even better investmentthan the first one.

Also, here's a few references about the tablet to confirm what I said.

Alot of the rumours seem to indicate that the next Transformer will bethe FIRST tablet running Ice Cream Sandwich natively as well, whichwould be awesome. That would probably make it Google's flagshiptablet! Now that would be really awesome.

Oh! Sorry about that! My internet cut out in the middle of my post and I didn't have a chance to post what I had written. I DID save it on my computer, though - I just edited it in. Check above for what I meant to write ;)

Dunno what's wrong - my browser just randomly cuts out sometimes. All my other devices work online, and my wireless card is active and connected - it just won't load any webpages, email, or anything else.

Just read an article that Honeycomb is the last Tablet-only OS.
