B13 is supposed to work with all models, but I didn't get any feedback for installation on 7024/8024 yet.

Instructions were provided within the post:
http://www.androidtablets.net/forum...eycomb-3-0-coby-kyros-x024-18.html#post179404

Simply remove a file and it should install OK on 7024 or 8024. If something goes wrong, please report and I will try to fix it. I cannot test on those devices because I own a 1024 only.

If you need basic instructions about how to flash a firmware on 7024/8024/1024 (the procedure is the same for all of them) then read OP or this:

PS: it's beta software, so it's not recommended for novices.

Hi guys I notice that the original rom came from slatedroid rom and that beta13 was release here before beta13 on slatedroid, is your rom being develop apart from slatedroid and will be more for kyros tablet. I flash slatedroid beta12 and now beta13 on my tablet and use steev patches for the mid7024 since beta10 released here, thing work and some do not work. if you guys will dev. apart from the guys at slatedroid I will flash and help with your rom. thanks

My build was exactly a try to unify the versions for all x024 models... Builds on slatedroid are meant for Herotab C8 AFAIK.

Hi all,
I downloaded the Beta 13 from Slatedroid and I am trying to find the files from the x024 regarding the touch buttons. It seems that the betas installed from Slatedroid in general are very functional, minus the controllers for the capacitive buttons. Beta 12 never turned the capacitive buttons off and they were not functional. Does anybody know where I can find the files for the capacitive buttons; I am in the midst of compiling a hybrid version of the beta 10 from this site, and the beta 13 from slatedroid. I am also working on getting ad-hoc mode to work so that I can tether my iPhone 3GS to the Kyros (using a modified version of the wpa_supplicant file)--any help would be much appreciated folks!

There is a B13 here that should work with any x024, did you try it instead?

lfrom,

Thank you for your reply. Any idea where I can find the B13 on this forum? Could you please link me? I was successfully able to port the button configurations and controllers to the Herotab B13 but would love to try one tailored for the x024. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

LFOM,

The 1024 version is pretty good so far. most everything I use works. I do like the way email is handled in HC much better than GB. that said, there are a few issues thar I would say are top priority.

1. the Auto rotation of the screen. Some apps are native portait and when switchign between them and others having to run the rotate app sucks.
2. Wifi is a PITA. when set to stay connected, I have to cycle mine when coming out of screen sleep to get it to work.
3. Ext Sd car disappearing is also a PITA. sometimes reinserting works, but sometimes you have to reboot the device.

I tested teh cyanogen and missed HC already on it. HC is the way to go on this tablet.

LF, to supplement my previous post, Steev's launcher fits the unit much better and seems to be smoother than the stock one. I do like it. Seems toblock up less too. Also the launcher does not respond in portrait mode for tasks like wallpapers and widgits. The gallery does not pull from the extsd card. Also if u use the gallery to load a desktop background it does not display the full image even when expanding the selection.
