Love my THRIVE!!!

Can you got wifi only thru hotspots and or by having your own mifi? Need to use my tablet on the go and not interested in tethering with ATT..... nor hanging out at hotspots to get service..... $$$$$$ WOW!!

Stayed on hold for at least an hour while customer service at various carriers look for imei # for THRIVE.......lol noone can figure it out....

Suggestions, help or even just a lil education appreciated..

Wifi is a signal from a wireless router. It uses the wired internet service already present. It's not cellular. You can use wifi at public hotspots, private hotspots if you have the passkey, pay for a cellular service for your own mifi hotspot, or from your wireless router in your own home with your own ISP.

Thank you
I'm guessing only cellular tablets or cellular phones have this imei # that ATT was searching for in order to service my tablet then......?

I seem to find Wi-Fi all over. Think about uploading and downloading at one spot. Then digest material? Or just find more Wi-Fi in favorable spots and hang out...
