WM 8650 Pattern Locked

My son cannot remember his pattern lock .......on his Android VIA WM8650 tablet...I have used the reset on the side with a safety pin which allows me to get to the home screen when I power back on but when the screen times out the lock pattern comes up again.

I know he should have remembered the code or never set one, but this is where he is at.

Any ideas how I can bypass forever or change the pattrern w/o knowing the old pattern or remove the need for a pattern w/o knowing the old pattern??

Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to rut forum!

If he has a google account configured and it is connected to the Internet you can fail the lock screen 5 times (if using a pattern your fail attempts must be at least 4 dots) and it will allow you to unlock with the google account.

If not, you will have to find out how to factory data reset using the hardware buttons. It may be necessary to find the manual or call the tablet manufacturer to do this.
