Yifang mediacom some advice to try rooting and market fix

I'd like to help community with this device...but i need some infos:

1. Is any method to root amlogic devices with A9? Can I risk brick?
2. for now I know that it's difficult to find some rom but I'd like to fix market because ICS on this mediacom/yifang device recognize the tablet as a strange smartphone, so...app like mozilla or opera works with the smartphone interface (firefox open tabs from the upper side and not from the left like on regular tablet)...and website are showned like on desktop pc not in mobile version

With some help I would like to start developing on this device, fix market, and testing a cooked rom...
