Hi,

I have recently purchased a Z102 with ICS and tried to upgrade to the latest firmware because Adobe Flash was not working. The upgrade said that it was successful, but now when I turn the Z102 on, it is always in recovery mode and does the upgrade again. I can not get it out of recovery mode and it has now done the upgrade about 6 times. How do I get it out of recovery mode?

Very possibly ...

The firmware you loaded onto your sd card was 'faulty' so you will have to check exactly what you put on the card.

The latest firmware from the Zenithink site requires you to add 4 extra files (depending on your model 2n / 3n or 3a) to the zt-update folder

Did you add these 4 extra files ?

Thanks Dave.
I have tried a couple of updates.
The first was ZT280_K0_3m_Z102_Android4.0_0306_V2.8
The second was the latest one you mentioned.
The update said it was successful but it always starts saying Recovery Start.

If I don't turn off the tablet then everything is ok.
If I turn it off, or the battery runs out, when I turn it on it is in recovery mode.
If I turn it off and on again 3 or 4 times it then starts up ok.

Yes I added those 4 extra files in the 2nd update.

Now that's confusing ..

Sounds like the internal memory is sulking for some reason, when its starts up.. have you done a factory reset ? (Settings, Backup and reset and then Factory data reset)

Not really.
I bought it off Ebay from China - I'm in Australia.
I'll just have to be careful not to turn it off or let the battery run dead.

Thanks for your help.
