Not sure about a native task manager but if you bring up recent apps (3rd icon on left) and swipe the recent app to the right it closes it from cached. Kinda kills.

Here's an update on battery life. Changed governor in setcpu to conservative and turn off wifi if not needed and I generally get 6 hrs battery. Not much performance hit for general use. On a side note over clocking not too sucessful usually freezes or reboots. Had a little success at 1.1 setting and it lasted a couple minutes at a 1.4 setting. But I wasn't really expecting it to work.

Curious, when you tried over clocking, did you mess with the voltages any, or just the clock speed?

Okay folks, I finally got a stock ROM built for the Zeki TB782B. However, I have not yet figured out how to get this tablet into FLASH mode in order to test it. If anyone has any good ideas, please tell me!!

If we can figure out how to get this into flash mode, and it works, I will post step by step on how I managed to build it. And, I need to give a lot of credit to some people for the help I received.

Thanks

EDIT: It is a dog. It flashes, but crashes. Back to the drawing board.

I have flashed my tablet with a bad ROM that I built. I know that most all of these Chinese tablets are simply re-branded, and there are other identical tablets under a different name. Could someone please help me find a tablet that could be considered a clone of the TB782B, so that I may get a good ROM built for this one. the Yarvik 260 is close, but only has 4GB storage. I think that is making the difference in how the NAND devices are being formatted. I need an 8GB ROM with the same specs, except 8GB.

Finless, care to throw your 2 cents in here? You do seem to be the expert here.

Thanks

this is a df from the stock, unaltered ROM.

tmpfs /mnt/sdcard/.android_secure tmpfs ro,relatime,size=0k,mode=000 0 0

Please note how different the /data /cache and /sdcard partitions are in size.

Anything jump out to anyone why this is so vastly different? Is there a file in A10 Kitchen I need to be hand editing? If so, what file?

Thanks

The flash software for this Tablet (All winner Tablet ) is Live suit- can search in google.
Open the live suit on PC, Power off tablet. hold the Vol + and connect the Tablet to PC with USB cable. Then
press the power switch 3 times go to flash mode.

I have FiOS 30Mb+ up/down in my house with speedtest.net reporting 26Mb at the tablet. Higly doubt that I have a problem with WiFi bandwidth.

Fiddling with it for several hours, and never got Netflix to work. My solution (ready for the flames) - I took them back, Staples had a coupon for two days only for the Archos G9 8o, 1GB/4GB for $125. I already had one, so I knew it to be an AWESOME tab. Autoupdates to ICS on first WiFi connection, has bluetooth and GPS. Has HDMI out and a full size USB connection (for a 3G stick one could buy in Europe, but can use for other USB devices).

I put Zoodles Kids Mode on them and handed one each to my 4 yo, 5 yo and 7 yo. Bought the wife one too (she didn't get Kids Mode). The kiddos love them, they have an excellent 8" screen, the video and music Archos apps are excellent.

Coupon no longer good. Too bad, as the Archos G9 8o is cleary the best bargain as the tab is better than most $200+ tabs including the A100 and Galaxy 2.

Good luck with the Zeki. I found it to be an excellent tab, but I truly needed Netflix because with five, soon to be six, kids, all age 7 and under (yes, they are all mine and my wife's together - can you say 'busy'?) we need Netflix to keep the insanity down in the house (and in the Sienna)

I'm wondering is anyone having problems with this tablet freezing? I have had it one week and it has frozen twice now where I have to wait till it dies to get it to do anything.

Oops except when I tried overclocking. Anything in particular you were doing or app being used when it froze? When it did I just held power button till it rebooted.

Try to factory reset with the tick on Clean SD card.
It will help.
If the tablet freeze, tey use one tooth pick press the hole between the USB and HDMI port to reset the tablet.
