Huh, why should you always ask Sony first? I think that is a useful link but in my experience the collective of the forum usually trumps customer service. Check both but definitely don't write off the forum

Good point but you missed the intension of my post. Please check existing knowledge bases and FAQs (i.e. Sony) which will likely already have an answer for you. That will reduce the amount of trivial questions that clutter our forum. If Sony or others don't have an answer then no doubt forum members will take up the challenge and find an answer for you. That will make the forum more interesting and useful for the majority.
