Well as far as the camera, when you opened it up to take a pic, you could adjust the wb, focus, effects, etc. Sadly that is gone after the 2.2 update. :(
I wasn't planning on using it as a phone, just a tablet. I did get a good deal on it, shall we say under 300? ;) Unfortunatly I might...
Why would you expect a tablet to be cheaper because it's smaller in size? That's like expecting a Porsche to be 60 to 80% cheaper than an SUV.
In the case of both the Galaxy tab and the Porsche, you're paying for features and quality.
But you don't need a contract with tmobile. I don't have one. They will sell it to you without any kind of a plan, although according to the website they aren't supposed to.
But I can understand waiting for the A7, the price alone is better.
I just got back from the T mobile store a little while ago. I had no intentions of buying this tablet when I went there.
But, It's really an awesome tablet! I bought it for 599. And got a discount and a waived activation free so I paid 649. for the tablet and the $50. leather folio case...
Amazon can be a little "out there" price wise. ;)
You do get a better deal buying through Tmobile. They waive the activation fee, it's not ringing up with sales tax, and for some reason is ringing up with an employee discount at the store near me.
It's running 2.2.
