Swiftkey gets good reviews, but every time I install it, I get a message saying it can record all my keystrokes including passwords and credit card numbers.
Is this an actual security threat?

This might also take some time, but maybe you could save the desired files to One Drive or Dropbox or another cloud based storage. Then open the new device and save the files to that.
Some cell providers will sell you a tablet with 3G or 4G capabilities. However, there will likely be an extra monthly charge. As previously stated, WiFi is easy to set up. And you can save on your data plan by using wifi instead.

I agree with vampirefo. The only problem I've had with my Samsung Galaxy is not enough space. That can be alleviated somewhat by using the SD card.
I do *not* recommend the Kindle Fire. The only thing to recommend it is the large potentia capacity. The sound is awful, it loses WiFi connection...
