Thanks for the reply !
How do I get everything "not automatic" on this tablet the way you did it as you mention here ...?
The Galaxy Note 8.0 doesn't seem to show the same things (even if it is Android on both) as the TF700.
Added information (which could be useful to solve the data hog!) ...:
At first, I only had the TF700 and all was running fine with the data: no hogging there.
Then we got the Galaxy Note 8.0 (last month) and upon starting for the first time, went through the usual set up.
Both devices run on...
Hello to all again.
I am happy with the new Galaxy Note 8.0 tablet and I still have some very important (to me) questions:
1. Where is the "Restrict Background Data" option on this tablet?
I have been able to do it with my ASUS TF700 but not with that Galaxy Note 8.0
I am trying to restrict...
Not really what I want to do because the Note 8.0 already has the option to wirelessly connect to the TV but the later has to have WiFi connection.

Thanks for the reply !
Well, as long as the Note 8.0 can use the "remote" option and control the TV, I would be fine with that.
I thought there existed some type of gadget out there just to get the WiFi to the TV via USB or HDMI ... !
I am not new on this forum but very new for the Galaxy Note 8.0 which I just received this week.
Great little tablet which my wife is also using to write her books! She uses the Handwriting to Test feature and it is fantastic! :)
Now for me ... I need some help and hope to find some...
Just got back from ASUS on the phone: this is a "known issue" with Google and they (ASUS) are waiting for a "patch" which seemingly will solve this email sync problem.
The tech assures me that this is not an ASUS problem, rather it is a Android thing which Google handles.
In the meantime, I am...
UPDATE: It hasn't worked ... so now I think I will try this hard reset.
UPDATE No. 2: Still the same problem after hard reset ... the email sync is still not syncing automatically.
The notification (menu) still shows a greyed out "circle with rotating arrows".
I just don't know what do anymore.
