i have'nt tried as yet but ive heard others have had problems also. try mcbub for update information or, failing this try slatedroid forum. this is a much bigger forum with many more posts. im led to believe that the gemei g9 & yuandao n90 use the same update so you might find info on posts for these tabs aswell. good luck

I believe you have a Sanei N90 (model 8701). Were you ever able to successfully update the firmware? How did you accomplish? Can you load google Voice Search? (Mine says it is incapable with my device). So many questions from the noob.
