If rooted, I'd use something like Titanium Backup and freeze un-needed apps, instead of deleting them. Deleting bloatware sometimes poses problems when one tries to do a vendor/carrier supplied update to the device.

Linux?! I've used RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc. and I don't see much bloatware. You do get some standard desktop apps if you install the Gnome Desktop Environment (GDE), or KDE, with Linux.
With pure Android (a linux variant ? ) from Google, there isn't much, if any, bloatware. Check out a new...
My Samsung device came pre-installed with Polaris Office v5, that reads .pdf files.
Not all .pdf readers operate similarly, e.g. some don't display the watermarks in the original .pdf file, etc.

OK, downloaded the new Calculator app. I see "satan" on the keyboard, so I think I'll uninstall it now :^)

Just a reminder that the promotional credit, if you received it, expires tomorrow 3/31/2014. It is not easy to tell that you have a promo credit for an appstore app at Amazon :( ; it's not like a gift card credit that is more easily visible.
I was spending too much time figuring out what I...

The geek in me made me download the FAOTD: NeoCal. Now I have one more calculator app. I hear the calculator *might* stop working if there's no Internet access, because of Amazon's DRM on downloaded apps.

That was it guys! I turned on WiFi and used ES Explorer to transfer the file to an NTFS shared drive on my PC for now to free up some space on my mobile device.
Thanks!

I downloaded a 4.8GB movie from Google Play Movies.
Google Play has no download to SD card option, so my device internal storage/memory is almost maxed out.
I tried using ES File Explorer to copy the movie to my 32GB SD card, but only 4GB transferred (about 2 hours of the 2.5 hour movie).
Any...
I see some improvements in UI/usage, but the app size has actually increased by 1MB (to 179MB) from v1.4.0 to v1.4.2a :

A little over 5000 hours of System Uptime now.
This 2012 Nexus 7 is almost like a Server. Lol!

I tend to upload pics and videos I shoot from my phone straight to the cloud (Dropbox, usually) these days. They are safer in the cloud than on my device, and once in the cloud, I can access them from my Tablet and PC as well.
When I didn't have this kind of mobile bandwidth previously, I'd come...
I have an unlimited data plan with T-Mobile now.
Verizon didn't allow me to continue with my unlimited data plan and had offered me a 6GB plan. I've never really used over 5GB, so that might have sufficed.
My 4G/LTE speed, as a comparison to the Wi-Fi:
So it would be faster for me to upload large files (pics, videos, etc) using my mobile data plan than using my Wi-Fi.
