The kernel linked above has vmsplit 3g, I think. I'll confirm that here in a bit. Sent from my GTablet

Very much so! This kernel is confirmed booting CM7 correct? I'll see what I can do.

    CM7 Discussion Thread

I too have an S7 for the cause and I have experience porting CM to other devices and building CM from source. The thing I don't have is a working, CM compatible kernel. I know there is one being used by at least a few people here but unfortunately there has been nothing posted for the rest of us...

I would really like to contribute to this effort but the IRC is dead every time a I stop by. I would like to see the kernel and vendor tree added to a git repo if one of you have time to upload it. Thanks

[ROM] FroyoFusion (A hybrid of my Ideos S7 Froyo 1.2.1 & S7 Slim Froyo)

I would like to keep the default framework but I am going to check this out. Maybe I'll throw together a flashable default framework .zip when I get a chance.

Wipe battery stats and then wait, it gets better as the rom settles in. We need an undervolted kernel :) Sent from my GTablet

Bad ass so far! Thanks for continuing to work on this. Update: All set up and and all is good, no issue that I can see. I love that the huwaei lockscreen is gone. I did remove all emotion stuff so not sure how any of that runs but the rest of this rom is top notch. Sent from my GTablet

Gingerbread to my Ideos S7 development

I pulled the config from joenilan 1.1-nor. Not sure how it is different from what you have but the kernel compiles using that config Sent from my IDEOS S7

Gingerbread to my Ideos S7 development

I have compiled it a number of times and have not had the cypress driver error. The only problem I had was with the battery driver. I will upload my working source to github when I get a chance. I actually have a nicely modified kernel ready for release but I am getting an error when compiling...

Gingerbread to my Ideos S7 development

Double poster :p I compiled the kernel with "vmsplit_3g=y" and it won't boot. I'll look in to it more as I have a chance. There were also some problems with the battery driver. Otherwise the kernel compiles and boots just fine.

Where are you guys at on the GB port? Is there a working vendor tree with extract-files.sh and other necessary scripts?
