1024 locking up and shutting down by itself

Hi guys, I've been experiencing the following problem in my Coby Kyros 1024: when I use it for about 30 to 40 minutes, it locks up (hard freeze or lost touchscreen feature) for 2-5 seconds, and then shuts down by itself, and I have to reboot the system. I installed dutorito's Evolution 3.1.1 ROM in it, and now it's running Android 2.3.3 Gingerbread, it worked great, but I keep having the same problem. Anyone knows how to fix it?

has it done this same thing when on the stock ROM as well as the GB rom?

Yes, when I bought it, it already came with this problem, so I installed GB in order to try to fix the problem, with no success.
