8" Rockchip RK2918 Android MID - need a rom

Hi Everyone

I have a 8" Rockchio RK2918 Android MID that I bought from - Giayee 8 inch android MID/tablet - Cortex A8, 8" mid, 1.2GHz, Android 2.3

About Mid:
Model number: M801
Android Version: 2.3.1
Baseband Version: Unkown
Kernel Version" 2.6.32.27 yangl@ubuntu#462
Build number: m801-20111110-v431 [h=1][/h]
I want to update it to a newer android version. The tablet works okay but sometimes it freezes and becomes unstable.
I have read all over and I'm totally lost. If I understand it correctly I have to flash the rom to get to icecream sandwich version?

Please help me.

Well try to google some X-team roms i used one on my rk2918 maybe they support yours too!

Better contact with the supplier, to see if they have update guide and tools, also new images.
