A500 tablet to LCD TV via HDMI

I bought a HDMI cable today to plug in my A500 to my LCD TV. The local store happened to point me to an original Acer HDMI 1.3m cable specifically for A500/A100 series tablets and said that it was best for all tablets.

As I hadn't mentioned that I actually had an Acer A500 I took is as an omen and felt confident that I had picked up the most compatible HDMI cable for me to get my A500 display on my LG tv.

Problem is I get a 'droid on the TV screen with a "720p?".

So where do I go from here?

Can't see where I can adjust my TV from 1080p to 720p.

Any suggestions??

I tried some cheap cables from ebay, none is working. Then I bought a micro HDMI cable from bestbuy 29$, but it works. It good for acer a500, Moto,.etc. so go to bestbuy to buy one.

Get another cable. Many of them are suspect.
