A816 battery problem

Not sure if it is my own cock up but can not get tablet to work on battery. Have checked internal leads/plugs and all secure and/or seated.

Used on mains it works fine. If unplugged immediately powers off.

Intend to replace battery anyway but in meantime any ideas please folks.

It sounds very much like your battery is not taking a charge for some reason. Most likely that would mean the battery is defective.
