Acer Iconia Tab A100 Won't Turn On, Will Blink Home Light Once

Hello,

my tablet recently fell 2ft from my night stand onto carpet, and I'm not sure if its related but it now fails to turn on. It is fully charged and when I hold the power button the "home" circle lights up once but the screen never turns on. How can I fix this?

I'm getting nervous because I'm leaving the country in 4 days and was hoping to use my tablet as a gps

I would guess the fall killed it?

Thats actually a common problem, something about it needing an update. I have one and it has dropped a few times and nothing has happened to it.
