Title says it all. I bricked one of my two tablets copying the google apps into my system/apps folder (it actually worked when I restored files from my phone using titanium backup, but when I rebooted the tablet it froze. I then bricked the tablet by trying to install a rom I found on the internet - obviously not the right rom).
Anyway, I really want to get calendar and contacts working. The factory rom comes with the calendar app, but it doesn't sync with google (it's missing the transport, and when I try to run the APKs they don't install). The rom does not come with contacts app. Given the lack of a decent recovery, I'm kind of gun shy about playing around. If anyone got this working, it would be great if you could share your secrets.
