Andriod Market Search Button

The search button that appears in the upper right hand corner doesn't consistently work for me. Sometimes it will work correctly and other times it does nothing. It doesn't seem to matter the screen's orientation. The corners of the screen work correctly in other applications, so I don't think it's a hardware problem. The search menu item always works.

Any ideas?

Yeah, use the "Search" button on the forum!
This the topic of several threads on several forums.
Some are sure that it is hardware & others say that it is not. Some have run a touchscreen test ( don't know what test) & say it works at the corners & edges.

P.S. I think Market has an alternate search button, but can't look right now.

Click on the Menu button at the bottom. Search is there, too.

or pick up the appbrain app...I don't even open the Android Market anymore...you can even go onto appbrain.com on your pc and push apps OTA to your NC that way.

This problem goes away at higher lcd density.
