I figure it doesn't hurt to ask, AAC=Augmentative & Alternative Communication it's for people with a harder time communicating. You hear so much about the iPad and autism. My son is 15 and has autism. BUT we're NOT buying an iPad. Period. Does anyone know of a application for this type of use for Android? I figure it's not out there yet, but if I am wrong I would love to hear that it DOES exist already. :)

Here is a introductory video on the app for the ipad or ipod touch:

So anyone seen anything like this on the official market yet? I wouldn't even begin to know how to look for it, it's a special niche kind of software that's for sure, but this proloquo2go goes for like $500....So if there is an alternative but on the Android OS we're really interested. :)

take a quick look at SVOX and the accompanying voices, it is a replacement for the PICO TTS engine for text to speech. Then there are several apps that allow you to have your apps talk to you.
