Asus Padfone Gets OTA Update with a Slew of New Features and Fixes

Owners of the new Asus Padfone are in for a treat. The super-hybrid-device should be receiving a new OTA update very soon that brings with it a host of enhancements and improvements. The new build is version 9.20.1.22, and brings your Android version to 4.0.4. Here's a quick rundown of some of the new stuff it brings:
  • System upgrade to Android 4.0.4
  • Elevate system stability and optimize the operating performance
  • Optimize Dynamic Display Switch (DDS) performance
  • Optimize power consumption
  • Optimize Camera performance and quality
  • Message / Email edit function improvement
    1. Group Edit
    2. Email update frequency, "peak time" and "Off peak time" setting feature added.
  • Optimize Input method
  • SD card support to 64GB
  • Super Note function added

    2. Hand Writing Recognition Speed
  • Device tracking and data protection support.

If you don't fancy waiting, then you can force the update manually by going to Settings > About > System Firmware Update > Check Update.
