cant get 4.0 os mid android tablet to turn on

my tablet worked fine last night then it all of a sudden just shut off. I know for sure the battery was at least half way charged. Now I cant get it to turn on or even charge. I tried holding the on button down for a few seconds and heard a click noise. Still cant get it to turn on. HELP

It's possible that it turned on but the screen isn't working. If you have HDMI out try connecting to a TV.

how would I plug it into the tv? I tried plugging it into my laptop but my laptop doesnt register it being connected.

I honestly think its crashed. But not sure how to get it to reboot.
