I am new here, new to Android, although I have done a lot of other wireless applications, from web applications, to thin client-server, thick client server over WiFi, satellite, etc.

I am interested in using the Android tablet to replace some of those larger tablets of the past, and the smaller WinCE PDAs.

I was wondering how many here are also involved in using the Android as a client GUI to a serious back-end database on a local, nearby server over WiFi, as well as over the Internet?

What is the right location to post topics in this area?
