Daughter forgot her unlock pattern.

I do not have usb debugging turned on in the device. Is there anyway of resetting the device or do I have to send it back to get a new one?

edit: She has the Viewsonic Viewpad 7e

I did check out that link before I posted here. The tablet never asks for your gmail password, it just keeps telling you to wait another 30 seconds after you try 5 times. I'm wondering if there is some sort of reset or safe mode that someone knows of because it does not mention anything about it in the users manual.
