Default and custom ringtones!

Pixel pro6... I have assigned a custom ringtone to my wife's number.. when she rings me the custom tone plays but also the default phone ringtone plays too... I cannot work out how to stop that.. so it's a cacophony of 2 competing tones.. pretty horrific tbh
