Right now I'm considering dipping my toe into the 'droid app development waters. I'm both amused and chagrined to note that many 'droid development books aren't available in e-versions and, of those that are, complaints about poor formatting are pretty common. Not exactly a glowing recommendation for either the 'droid world or tech. e-books.

Furthermore: Many 'droid programming e-books that are available are nearly as expensive in the e-versions as they are on dead tree material.

It's that way for most books. I too thought the ebooks would be a lot less expensive than the "dead tree" versions.

Many libraries now allow you to check out ebooks for free!

Check out the Overdrive app for android. I have to think that this (availability of ebooks from the library) will be very common in the coming months.
