I recently bought the Huawei (pronounced wa way) and had to do a hard reset. Problem was, the tablet was locked out due to to many pattern mistakes. Ihad to do a lot of research to find the correct method. Hope this info saves someone some time.

if you have a Clockwork recovery mod backup.
you can use fastboot or CWM itself to flash your backups back to recover ;).
infact, to just delete everything easily and quickly.
fastboot.exe erase userdata
fastboot.exe erase cache

and your done.

How would you do that if your device is not letting you use the touchscreen? Like when you "forget" your pattern code and now it only wants an google account to confirm the owner?

Simple.
On your pc with the right drivers installed and Android SDK that has fastboot program.
1: put the tablet in fastboot mode pressing sound keys)bouth of them) and power on.
2: conect your tablet by cable to pc(driver need to be available for install)
3: on a CMD prompt navigate where you have the fastboot binary.
4: (you can type fastboot to see the commands options) type this(windows version for linux the same but no".exe":
fastboot.exe erase userdata
fastboot.exe erase cache
fastboot.exe reboot
