Formatting SD Card help

Hi, can anyone tell me how to format a new SD card?
I can format it using Windows7 but I've heard it's not the correct format, can someone advise please.

I Usually just format with Windows and honestly I have never once had a problem with any of my tablets reading them. You can format directly on your tablet as well using the option under storage in Settings. I've always Used windows only because I usually have data tr transfer to the card anyway.

You shouldn't have to format a "new SD card". Every one I've ever bought came preformatted as Fat32, which is what you normally want.

Ouite right of course. I tend to move and repurpose SD and microSD Cards often and I always reformat in the process. Still, formating Under windows works fine.
