I recently purchased a Lenovo A8-5500. Being totally new to the tablet world, I searched for a forum that could 'help' me understand what I just bought. It's my first plunge into the tablet world. I chose the A8 as it was a good size without costing an arm & a leg. And I didn't want a snApple product.
I wondered if a tablet needed AV programs and as I read about the board, the prevailing consensus appeared to be yes, you should have one. So I went for the free version of AVG.
So many thanks to the board. While tooling around, AVG snared a virus trying to get entry into my tablet. after that I also added Malwarebytes. Gosh that thing scans slowly. I guess tablets are just as vulnerable as pc's. Too bad.
I hope to learn a bit more here and save my a$$ from time to time as I venture into the deep.
