i have the above pad ( 3 months old )

Telechip Tcc8902 ARM 11 processors
Frequency 720MHz Support for hardware 2D/3D graphics acceleration
Memory DDR2 256MB
Storage
Built-in flash memory 2GB
now all of a sudden it will not go past the " funny looking animal " in the top left hand corner.
i have tried to re-install the system usint these instructions
but i cannot even get the pad into update mode using the combination of on / off / switches.

i have seen another post with this error ( but cannot find it).

is the tablet knackered .
i cannot return as the shop has disappeared from ebay at the moment

if i plug in the tablet Windows 7 x64 bit will not install drivers
i have downloaded root 701.rar and have run the application but to no avail.

any advice

@goldshirt9 - You probably need the Windows 7 64-bit VTC Driver. Check this post: http://www.androidtablets.net/forum...1-r-firmware-using-windows-7-a.html#post17327

I also started a Haipad M701/M701-R Group where I'm collecting a lot of this tablet-specific stuff in one place if you want to join. :)
i tried the driver but no good.
i have returned said item for a repair / another item.
i just couldnt get anything to work.
think its kaput .

i could join you , but i dont know if i'd be any help
gotta link or such.
the clockwork mod is down ( if the site i visit is the right one )
i have a second pad which is working ok ,so i may try on that one.

a decent tutorial ( updated)
as a sticky about this model would be great.

After you install driver in your computer, open FWDN software, connect the tablet with the PC through USB with switch turning off, then keep pressing the "menu" or "back" button on the top, then turn the switch on. you tablet will go to update mode.
