I loaned my e-reader to my adult daughter and when I got it back it seems all the "free Books" are gone. Is there any way to recover them. I am especially interested in the Sherlock Holmes series. Can you help?

I am really nedding some help, I have the ematic eGlide2 for my son for his Christmas present and I am having trouble gettinto the App market ?? Everytime I try to get there a screen comes up and says "Connection Failed the internet connection is not available" ?? I know it is for Ive been on fb and stuff this am ?? Please help,,,,, thanks!!
