Help! Usb keyboard doesn't work at all

I flashed by Haipad M701 with 2.3 a couple of hour ago in an attempt to get the device working with a physical usb keyboard designed for 7" tablets. I had to get a cable that converts from USB to mini-USB to get the connection, but nothing works. When I plug the keyboard into my computer, it works perfectly.

How do I get my HaiPad working with a usb keyboard?

The converter you have is not a USB OTG adapter. It is just a normal USB to mini USB adapter.
Therefore the tablet thinks it is a USB slave not an USB host.

With the tablet you got a white converter cable. That one should work.
Otherwise search e-bay for "Mini USB OTG host adapter"
This:

and this:
Mini USB On-The-Go Host OTG Adapter (2-Pack) | eBay
should work.

I know they look the same as what you have, but it is not!
