How often should one you shutdown their tablet?

Hi everyone,

As a PC user I know ever time you shut your PC down it brings it closer to its grave.
Some people leave their PC on all the time but I shut mine down once a day.

How does this also apply to Tablet Computers?
It has no hard disk but uses flash RAM.

Does anyone have any opinion to how often one should shut their Tablet down?

- PC...I shut down if I not using.
- Tablet once a week.
- My phone, everyday (no reason for doing that actually )

I leave my tablets plugged in to charger 24/7 when I am not using them. Reboot almost never, I usually only reboot if I want to test a new rom. Linux doesn't need to be rebooted very often.

Sleep, any time I'm not using it. Shut down, not for 6 months now.

Hi Titanic, welcome. You might want to try the search feature on this one since I remember seeing a thread very similar to this. The consensus was that most people only shut down if they need to reboot as part of a glitch or if they are flashing ROMs or other updates. Generally you can let tablets sleep when not in use and only need to power down occasionally under normal circumstances.
