The Easy Way to Convert DVD movies to Kindle Fire HD compatible video formats

The quick start guide below uses DVD Ripper Windows(Windows 8 included) screenshots. The way to rip DVD movies to Kindle Fire HD on Mac is almost the same. Just make sure you get the right version according to your computer operating system.

1. Add DVD movies

Add your DVD files by clicking the "DVD disc" icon and selecting the DVD files you want to rip from your computer's hard drive. ISO image files and IFO files are also supported. After the DVD files are loaded, you can preview them on the right viewing window and take snapshots of your favorite movie scene.

Tips: You can also click "Settings" to change the video encoder, frame rate, resolution, etc. Remember the file size and video quality is based more on bitrate than resolution which means itrate higher results in big file size, and lower visible quality loss. According to my experience, for watching videos on the Kindle Fire HD, 720p with 1500~2500kbps is just all right.
