How to Play Music from External SD Card(s)

I have an Asus Transformer Prime 16 Gb with 2 32Gb SD cards installed (one full size in keyboard and one micro in tablet).

I'd prefer to play music from the cards instead of the internal card.

Don't see a way to do that from the stock player.
True on my Galaxy SI smartphone as well.

Appreciate any guidance on this.

Welcome to the forum!

I believe the music player should scan the sd and microsd for music, but I have not tried it on my TF101 lately. I use Google Music and have my tunes in the cloud.

You can check out the app Rescan Media, it will trigger a rescan of the tablet like what happens at boot up. This can be helpful if your media changes (adding or removing files) without rebooting.

Also, I did not know there was a TF Prime 16 GB, I just thought it came in 32 and 64 GB flavors.

If the problem is primarily locating the files, JetAudio will index them if the SD card is in fact OK.

My apologies. My TF201 is a 32 Gb. I must have been thinking about my wife's Nexus 7.

Thanks for the feedback.

I'll let you know how it works out.
