killed battery ??

I plugged a linsay 10XHD4CORE into usb port into my hp pc to charge, now the only thing that comes up is a blk battery with a yellow triangle with an explanation mark in it ? did I kill my battery?

nothing, I just needed to know is there something I can do before changing the battery ??
