Lenovo Announces Two Android Tablets; Android 4.0 Powered TV & Mystery Device

Lenovo seems to be jumping into the deep end of the Android market, and fully committing themselves to the Android platform. Earlier they announced their new S2 Android phone that we just reported about earlier. They also have unveiled some other intriguing Android devices at CES this year. First up, they have two new Android tablets to brag about at the consumer show. The first one we have detailed looks like it was designed to compete head-to-head with the Asus Transformer. It is called the IdeaTab S2, and includes Ice Cream Sandwich and will have an optional keyboard dock, just like the Transformer. Here's the full specs:

• Android 4.0 tablet,
• 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor,
• 1GB of RAM
• 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 IPS display
• Docking Keyboard similar to the Asus Transformer
• (While connected to the keyboard dock, the IdeaTab gains 9 hours of battery life for a total of 18 hours, access to two USB 2.0 ports, a multitouch trackpad and an SDHC card reader.)

The second tab that Lenovo unveiled is the IdeaPad K2. This one was likely designed to go head-to-head with the Transformer Prime from Asus. Here's a full breakdown of specs:

• NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-Core Processor
• 10-Inch 1,920 x 1,200 IPS Display
• Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
• Supposed 8-Megapixel Camera
• 4-Speaker SRS Sound
• Wi-Fi And 3G Connectivity
• Fingerprint scanner on the back that can be used as a mouse

Interestingly, Lenovo also showcased a new Android 4.0/ICS equipped 55-Inch 3D capable TV. Here's a quote from BGR with details,

Lastly, the company announced the 55-inch 3D K91, the world’s first smart TV running Android 4.0. The K91 features a dual-core Snapdragon processor, HDMI, Wi-Fi, an SD card slot, and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The K91 is not considered a Google TV device, however, but it has access to the Android Market and Lenovo Store for thousands of apps.

The final "mystery" Android device that Lenovo shared, isn't really an Android device at all. It is the X1 Hybrid laptop. This new Lenovo laptop comes standard with Windows, but also offers something they called the "Instant Media Mode" that is really just a stripped down version of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread kernel. The hybrid laptop also includes a secondary Snapdragon processor, and is designed for users that travel a lot and want access to their stuff but want to conserve battery life. Unfortunately, you can't access the Android Market or Google Apps with this "Instant Media Mode", yet.
