Lenovo boasts that at 7.9mm thick the imaginatively named S5000 is one of the thinnest tablets on the market, besting the Nexus 7's 8.9mm thick casing. In terms of specifications, the Lenovo S5000 has a 7in 1280x800 resolution display with "full HD [and] wide viewing angles", which comes powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Mediatek processor and runs Google's Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean mobile operating system.
Lenovo has also equipped its latest tablet with dual 5MP and 1.6MP cameras, a 3,450mAh battery which will last "around eight hours" and 16GB of internal storage. It will also be available in a 3G model, although this will cost more than the regular asking price for the WiFi-only version. According to Lenovo, the S5000 will go on sale in the fourth quarter.
