I've been searching around for a few weeks now to try and find a working stable version of linux (ubuntu if possible) for the GTablet.
So far this is the most promising link i've seen on the subject Ubuntu Linux 11.04 (natty) on Vega (update 13/4) - Android @ MoDaCo or even [ROM/OS] Ubuntu 11.04 Natty [UPDATED 3/23/11] - [G-TABLET/ZPAD T2] - SlateDroid.com however neither are 'upto par' if you ask me (no sound, no wireless, ect..).

Has anyone found a working/stable version of linux for this device yet? Is this even in the works? or will we likely have to wait until 14.04 for a stable linux/ubuntu release candidate.

Slatedroid is the best of lot, and I dumped it after a week of playing with it. Was a fun experiment, but definitely not a daily use thing.

Do we know of anyone working on this currently? Common sense would tell me people are waiting for canonical to release 14.04 (which will target mobile and tablet devices). But that release is still over a year away :(
