I am wondering what other features do you think that are popular, or are possibly required features when thinking about buying a tablet? So far I have:

  • The size of the tablet - 5", 7", 8", 9" 10" etc..
  • Capacitive or Restive - Some people are happy with resistive
  • Single or Multi-Touch Screen - I've even single 5 finger tip touch screen!
  • Processor Speed Appears that 800MHz is about normal, eh?
  • RAM - Wouldn't it be nice to have 1GB of RAM? =)
  • Flash Support - I do with my tablets would have flash!!!
  • Android 2.1 or 2.2 - Although with 2.3 coming out.. hmmm
  • Camera - One of my tables will have a camera.
  • Bluetooh - I think that is a cool feature
  • GPS - I bet this works awesome with Google Navigation
  • Google Marketplace - I wish my Gentouch had access

Kindly post below.. any options that I am missing. I am going to create a video, and possibly a graph to further assist people!

My personal preferences:
Screen Size: 10" Capacitive Multitouch
Processor: 1GHz +
RAM: 256-512MB
OS: Android 2.2+
Camera: Sure, would like to try video chat
GPS: Definitely!
Network: 802.11 g/n and 2.1 Bluetooth
HDMI Out: Yes

So far my tablet meets or exceeds my preferences except for the GPS. I don't believe that android needs 1GB of RAM as it is just a mobile system and wouldn't really take advantage of that(unnecessary). 256MB should suffice for how much data it handles any given time. The GPS can be supplemented via mock locations and Bluetooth GPS share.

My tablet is a Viewsonic G 10" Capacitive multitouch screen. 1GHz Nvidia Dual Core Processor (Tegra 2), 512 MB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage. Its up there among the best tablets ATM. It'll still be really good for a while.

It all depends on what you want to use a tablet for. I like hacking and messing around so my favorite tablet right now is the m701r because of the dev community behind it
