Lock / unlock tablet

Hi, I have a Wondermedia VIA8850 model WM8850-mid tablet with Android V4.0.3 Kernel 3.0.8. When it goes to sleep after 10 minutes and when I want to wake it up, I press the Power button and slide to unlock, but after this the tablet reboots. When I want to lock it when I'm finished, I press the Power button, then it presents a menu "Power Off" / Restart / Airplane Mode On and it reboots. How can I use the Power button to quickly switch between sleep / awake without the reboot?

This is just a guess, based on your description, but I think you're holding the button to long. Just a light tap to put it to sleep.
