Locked out - need hard reset

Purchased a Kocaso 1050s tablet off ebay. I think I hard reset the device but I am still be prompted for a user name. I tried USB connection to PC but device is not regconized. Ideas appreciated - believe OS is 2.3

Trying; but, so far no luck. Would like to factory reset.

Unless you can access Settings you will need someone to tell you how to do a "Button Reset".

Right, I used sequence for another model power off, power+menu, release power upon startup and release menu on adroid icon. It seems to reboot differently and the date was reset but, still being prompted for username.

Just a thought, have you tried the screen name of the seller?

Good thought, tried it, no luck.

You should be able to hold the power button down and the volume up (left side closest to power button) and it should bring you to a system screen that gives you the option to do a factory reset. You would use your volume buttons to scroll up and down and the power button to select. just scroll down to data wipe/factory reset and it should work.
