I am headed to HK / Shenzhen next week and would like to meet with some tablet / MID manufacturers:

What are some competent manufacturers that a first time customer can work with?

My company wants to use very low-cost 7" tablets for specific-use work.
Essentially we want to "lock-down" the device to run a single app.
What are the best manufacturers that produce low-cost devices?

Also, are there any manufacturers that would be willing to share their ROM / driver information so my company can install our own Android implementation?

If you are looking for low-cost there are 1000s of manufacturers for these kind of devices in SZ.

The source code is held by solution company and not the manufacturer.
