Maps can't find my location true wifi

If i start maps or google, the momo can't find my location. I was using an open wifi network yesterday and he found it in a instant.

When i'm using my network at home, he doesn't find it. Is this normal ?

Depends on where you live, mine finds me at home or at a free hotspot.

that other place is only 2 km from here and my cellphone can locate my place on my home wifi. strange

When your are home, are you outside? When you try maps

i tried indoor and outdoor. That other place that found my location was a fon spot. I have at home also a fon spot (open network) so i connected to that one but still i get the message, can't find exact location (google as maps)
