Mobile charging?

Love my Tab S but with this odd cable connection....... Has anyone found a "car" charger for the Sony Tablet S yet? Sony why not a simple micro/or mini USB?

What kind of cable does it need? Galaxy tab has a proprietary port, bit the other end is usb. There ate chargers for car that use usb plugs. I have a Belkin FM Transmitter for my phone. (OG Droid). Earpiece to phone, plug into charger in car. To charge PHONE, I need additional micro usb/plug. Car has 2 chargers. And, while both of these ate plugged in, I can plug Tablet into plug's extra port hole and charge that as well!

Ya, not going to happen.

Sony's idea is that the plug can be left in place while the adapter is portable. That way if you have a laptop or other device you simple swap out the adapter. While not a deal breaker, it is really annoying.

If you want an extra cable google shows both WalMart and Target have them for around $29.00 and NewEgg for $25.00. Still expensive considering you can get extra charger for most phones/tablets for $5.00 on Ebay.

You will have to get an inverter if you plan on running it in your car.

Just ordered a Tablet S and wanted to charge it in the car.
I was looking at this DC to AC power converter for car but not sure it can charge the tablet and I cannot find specs on what the tablet needs.
Input: DC 12V / 500mA
Output: AC 110V
Max Output Power: 6W

Have resigned myself to buying another power adapter to cannabalise for the cable. It should be no problem to build a 12->10Volt regulator which will fit into a standard 12volt plug.
